An environmentally friendly pack to mail wine, designed by James Liggins of Auckland, was the overall winner of the 2007 Art of the Envelope Awards.
In a totally fresh approach, James created a sustainable and simple wine pack using recyclable materials. The design took out the ‘Future’ Pack category award.
Other winners were:
- Patrick Murphy of Aim Proximity, Auckland, who won the ‘Mailed Masterpiece’ category with a work promoting Yellow Pages ‘Call Monitoring’.
- Wayne and Kim Pick of Tequila, Auckland, who bagged a win for an Alan Jones Law partnership mailing, in the Redesign and Redefine category.
- Stacey Roper and Danny Brown of Y&R, Auckland, who won the ‘50 Cent Classic’ category with a mailing for Telecom.
The awards saw a record 168 entries, up by over 50 on 2006.
The Art of the Envelope Awards are the only New Zealand competition to focus on direct mail creativity. The awards are hosted by Candida and sponsored by NZ Post’s Mail Marketing Service, Kinetic121 and CourierPost.
